CDC’s Zika Game Plan Disrobed

The political football of Zika has run roughshod over the mainstream press and branded the fear of the unknown into the American psyche.

Florida’s $80 billion tourism industry has taken a hit as a result of CDC’s Zika bogeyman, while Zika spraying has claimed its first victim—killing 3 million bees in a mass die off in South Carolina. [1] [2]

In less than eight months, the Zika virus has dominated the newsfeed. With daily injections of panic headlines, shrunken baby head images, and hyperbole cast by the directors of the U.S. health agencies, the campaign has created an atmosphere of dread. Yet Congress hasn’t bitten into the green apple of billion-dollar funding requests. Why? Maybe it’s because with the spread of the Zika beast the tail of Microcephaly hasn’t followed.

At some point in July, the Brazilian Ministry of Health came to the realization that Zika alone isn’t causing the birth defects in Northeast Brazil. The WHO’s sister agency the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) concurred. Yet in reviewing the PAHO’s website no such information has been disseminated. [3]

More problematic, in an email exchange with Sebastian Oliel, a PAHO media relations representative, he sent a ‘Q&A’ on Guillain-Barré syndrome, microcephaly and other neurological disorders, highlighting the disclaimer:

“Scientists do not exclude the possibility that other factors may combine with Zika virus infection to cause neurological disorders but more research is needed before any conclusions in this area can be reached.”

            Yet that information can only be found in small print. The WHO’s last Zika press release was in late May dispensing guidelines on Zika-mosquito safety for those attending the Summer Olympics in Rio. Since then, no one would know that a cofactor(s), in concert with the mild Zika virus, has caused the birth defects in Northeast Brazil. Is that cofactor another virus or a manmade toxin? The latter would impel government agencies to cover up the local environmental catastrophe. [4]

In contacting a field scientist, who remains anomynous due to political blowback, he stated that in Brazil’s “Mosquito Country,” which is one hundred miles west of Northeast Brazil, where Zika is also widespread there are “no micro babies.” When I emailed Mr. Oliel on the “non pandemic” and why PAHO and WHO haven’t informed the public about the discovery of a cofactor, the questions went unanswered.

            Could it be that the reality of a cofactor would arrest the choirboys of NIH Director Anthony Fauci and CDC Director Tom Frieden from singing the blues to Congress on billions in vaccine R&D? Absolutely.

In late August, when Florida State University (FSU) announced that it had found an off-the-shelf remedy for Zika in a tapeworm antidote, second tier media outlets trumpeted the news, while the mainstream press ignored it. Why? And why is the Obama Administration silent on this breakthrough? With such a discovery one would expect the FSU scientists to be invited to the White House for a press conference the way Super Bowl champions are hailed. [5]

            If Zika were about finding a cure or what caused birth defects in Brazil, then President Obama would have killed the U.S. government’s new $300 million in public health emergency funding from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority—five days after the FSU announcement—for a Zika vaccine with the Japanese pharma giant Takeda. [6] [7]

            To complete the circle on the Zika bogeyman the WHO declared it an emergency on February 1, 2016, [8], the CDC has gone “all in” going for a super-constitutional power grab. In a ‘Notice of Proposed Rulemaking’ (NPRM), wanting full power and authority over U.S. citizens rights to due process, detainment, and apprehension in the NPRM, “Control of Communicable Diseases,” the new rules on quarantines. [9]

            Some of the stunning theft of rights would turn the CDC into the NSA, giving it full authority to “monitor through electronic internet-base means, such as email and webcam application tools.”

            Better still, it lists measles outbreaks as a growing threat, even though the non-lethal disease doesn’t show on the communicable diseases list. The NPRM slyly leaves out Zika in the 88-page document. No worries. If pushed through and it gives extraordinary powers to CDC, within five years measles, seasonal flu and Zika would be added to the list, forcing vaccines, apprehensions, spying, and severe penalties on everyone willing, hiding, or injured by previous vaccines.

            The Zika virus might be a joke. But the Zika bogeyman used as leverage by the CDC to gain even more power is not.
