LINKTREE Deplatforms GreenMedInfo; Makes Accusation of "Misinformation"; Suppresses Free Speech

Another Tech platform -- LinkTree -- deplatforms and censors Greenmedinfo, suppresses free speech, acts as a publisher, and yet provides no specific justification for its actions. Thankfully, another option -- Flowpage -- exists for those who wish to join a censorship-free alternative. 

On March 27th, the very same day we reported on defamatory statements by 'Center for Countering Digital Hate',  Linktree (a software platfrom that many use as a link within their Instagram profile so that they can offer followers the ability to click multiple links) disabled our ability to post a link to our own website, and specifically to this article titled, ‘Digital Hate’ Group CCDH Awakens Ire of the Public in Failed Attempt to Silence & Cancel Health Freedom Advocates. As you can see above, the link was marked an "Unsafe URL." We encourage readers to review our article to determine if anything within it is inappropriate, unsafe, or contains misinformation. 

The timing of this disabling of our account was highly suspicious, and possibly an example of a coordinated de-platforming attack. 

However, instead of jumping to conclusions, we contacted customer service, and asked them to provide an explanation for why this happened. Initially, we were told that this was a technical issue and that it was resolved on their end. Despite being told to clear our cache, and refresh our page, we were unable to get the function to work and the case was referred to their support desk. 

After over a week of multiple attempts to find out what if anything we specifically violated in their terms of service, with no luck, we received the following email which contained the following purported violation: 

"(C) the Content will not be misleading or deceptive, be intended or designed to misinform, would be likely to misinform a reasonable person, and that you will not represent as fact something which is false."

Also, we discovered today that the link active on our one remaining Instagram account (two previous Greenmedinfo accounts were deleted by Instagram) redirects to a Blocked Account page that implies that we somehow were using their platform inappropriately.  

Linktree's claims and public statements about our brand, and its founder, namely, that the information we have shared is "unsafe," "deceptive," "misinformation," and "inappropriate" is a distortion, unjustified, and clearly defamatory. Moreover, they have sold us a service (they charge for the professional functionality), which is to provide a neutral Software-as-a-Service platform enabling us to link to our own content. Their decision to act as publishers, and to censor information that specifically attempts to call out censorship and defamation by other actors, should not be allowed to happen without being known by the public. Under section 230 of the Communications Deceny Act, Tech platforms continue to enjoy a blanket of broad immunity against what would otherwise be considered direct violations of their users' First Amendment rights. 

Thus far, Greenmedinfo and its founder have been censored by the following platforms: Pinterest, Mailchimp, Active Campaign, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and now LinkTree. Freedom of information has never been more important than now, especially considering that informed consent is not possible without free access to information on both the risks and benefits of medical interventions like vaccination.
