Hi! We're Fearless Parent. Nice to 'meet' you. We are a parent-driven, online community delivering content and conversation via radio, blog, social media, structured education, and local events for today's non-conformist, thinking parents. Fearless Parent shares GMI's great passion for evidence-based, health-related information. We are your community for hashing out the practical day-to-day and clinical applications.
GreenMedInfo (GMI) and Fearless Parent are delighted to announce a collaborative partnership. You'll be hearing more in the upcoming months about our work together, which will include innovative structured education programs and special workshops.
Our collaboration is built on the recognition that vibrant, mission-specific movements are coming to the fore and "they are we." These include the food co-ops, enviros, health freedom fighters, chronic illness groups, and education revolutionaries. We are values-aligned and share an intense desire for social change. Many people work within one but passionately reside within them all.
There are extraordinary conversations happening on the front lines of health, wellness, and the related issues of social relevance. It's where courageous thought leaders and early adopters are field-testing breakthrough ideas. We believe food is our first and best medicine. We're firing the doctors who reflexively dispense drugs without answers. We are giving birth at home. We are cleaning up our homes and neighborhoods. We're homeschooling and finding alternative schools that understand the myriad ways our children learn. We are taking control and responsibility. We're doing the research, sharing information, putting forward our own experts, and creating powerful networked communities to take the place of sponsored and propagandized, one-size-fits all institutions. We comprise a collective body of wisdom. We're part of the fast growing, proactive, natural health and parenting ecosystem. Together with GMI and many others, we're creating the future of wellness.
We hope you'll get to know us. You'll recognize some familiar faces. Kelly Brogan is our medical director and Sayer Ji is a strategic advisor and partner. Many of us have children, but not all. We are guardians and stewards. We parent each other, our society, and the Earth. More than ever, people are using values-confluence to find community and manage information overload. If I like what you have to say about X, then I also want to hear what you think about Y. We're putting cutting edge ideas side by side and seeing what happens. We believe that great insights are found at the intersection of disciplines.
On Fearless Parent Radio and our online blog, we're talking about what's on your minds. Our topics include psych meds, infertility, flu, brain science, hypoglycemia, gluten, fever, breastfeeding, sex, fear, ignorance, grief, drive, sports pressure, class moms, and the problem with pediatrics, and a lot more.
Recently, we featured new research from Manuel Casanova, MD on the possible association between obstetric ultrasounds and autism. We also interviewed six-time New York Times bestselling author Bruce Feiler on surprising strategies for coping through crisis. He shares secrets of happy families from the unlikeliest places, including Warren Buffet's banker, the military, software developers, and the Harvard Negotiation Project.
If you're one of us, we'd like to know. Maybe you can come on our show, guest blog, plan an event, or introduce us to someone who should. Stay tuned because we have lots of great stuff coming. And who knows? We might be organizing an event in your neighborhood soon.
Be Fearless!
